Third Station - Jesus Falls the First Time

The heaviness of burden and of sin crush my Lord,

He falls to the ground under the weight of the world.

Beneath unfairness and drudgery He shares in my weakness,

Then is pulled to His feet to continue in meekness.

Through exhaustion He knows my tiredness and defeat,

And I am humbled to see Him rise to His feet.

I fold my hands and receive His holy strength,

And offer all I can with my heart to give Him thanks.

Accepting human frailty, I walk in faith and persevere,

Trusting God to supply my fortitude and always be near.
