Our Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, hear our prayer:

Please weave the women of St. Raphael into a beautiful tapestry of faith and friendship. Let us be woven by your Holy Spirit with our eyes and hearts set upon Christ our Savior. Help us shine with the light of Christ and draw souls to Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.

My walk with the Lord...Via Crucis

Posted by our resident, anonymous poet.  God Bless you, our dear friend!

Dear Women of St. Raphael, my Sisters in Christ,

I have written reflections on The Stations of the Cross to share my vision, emotion and gratitude for some of the awesome gifts that Jesus Christ gave to us as He walked The Way.  The reflections will be posted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent.

I keep you in my heart as we begin the Lenten season and walk with The Lord as He leads us closer to Him through prayer, reflection, action and fasting - whatever way your special relationship with Him is designed - as we prepare to share in His Passion and rejoice in His Glorious Resurrection on Easter.

Glory be to God!

First Station - Jesus Is Condemned to Death
My Lord, Jesus Christ, is condemned to die,

How can I not be angry and want to cry?

I don’t deserve the sacrifice of this perfect Lamb.

I'm a sinner, an imperfect servant, to the great I AM.

Yet in His goodness, gratitude also fills my soul,

He loves me so much to make me eternally whole.

So I step out with Him in His saving Passion,

With endless love for His mercy and compassion.

Obeying to governing is part of my Father’s plan,

Because even in unfairness, He rules over the land.

  1. This is beautiful. Thank you. I look forward to hearing more.
I have always loved the Stations. Even my little 2 year old, Iris, loves them, and Jesus' boo-boos. Walking with Christ and witnessing his Passion is horrifying to watch and contemplate, but amazing when we realize HE DID IT FOR US! for me. for you. for Iris. and then I'm just filled with thanks.
