She's back! Our friend loves Lent and sharing her faith with others. Thank you, girlfriend :)!
Dear Women of St. Raphael,
May The Lord hear our prayers as we seek to unite ever closer to His Love and Mercy this Lenten season… and may He bless you!
For the Sake of His Sorrowful Passion: The Agony in the Garden
On the eve of His Passion, Jesus prays with a heart that was shaken,
While His disciples sleep nearby, leaving Him alone and forsaken.
In garden of Gethsemane, I kneel with Jesus before The Father,
And in His agony, wipe the tears and bloody sweat mixed with one another.
As the horrors of sin and tortures of His Saving Passion come before Him,
Heart, broken and bleeding for sin, indifference, and rejection by the human race,
Moving mine to humble contrition and true repentance in sorrow and disgrace.
Weeping for the souls of man, My Lord accepts His destiny from God above,
For humanity to be eternally saved by the sacrifice of Perfect Love.
Not for worthiness but for love, I lay next to Jesus as He prepares for death,
Feeling His burden and anguish -pain I have caused- takes away my breath.
Despite my misery and weakness of flesh, Jesus consents to The Father’s will,
Knowing the torment He will endure for His Precious Blood and Water to spill.
Regretting times I did not keep watch for My Lord, as suffered in His agony,
I extend my love and adoration in prayer and acts of kindness to keep His company.
Sinful and sorrowful, my lamenting heart aches that it will never suffice,
But offers every wound, every sacrifice, and every beat for the consolation of Christ.
To be united with Him, my longing soul endlessly cries to never be apart,
Delighting only to take away the thorns and kiss the wounds of His Adorable Heart.
