Our Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, hear our prayer:

Please weave the women of St. Raphael into a beautiful tapestry of faith and friendship. Let us be woven by your Holy Spirit with our eyes and hearts set upon Christ our Savior. Help us shine with the light of Christ and draw souls to Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.

Women of Grace tea party

Posted by Annie and Adrienne

Its not too late for mothers and daughters (rising 8th grade through college) to register for the Women of Grace tea party coming up this Sunday, May 20th at 3pm in the Trumpet Room.

Look how much fun the ladies had last year!  And one mother said after last year's tea party that having the time together to talk with her daughter was the 'answer to a prayer.'  (praise God!!)

Annie has a fantastic afternoon planned.  The moms and daughters will spend precious moments together in holy conversation learning about the gift of authentic Catholic femininity.  There will be a short video presentation, inspiring lessons from Sacred Scripture, the example of our Blessed Mother and lives of women saints, and of course...lovely tea and little sandwiches!

Annie even has several guest speakers lined up.  The women will hear a young and enthusiastic religious sister talk about her vocation story and the importance of prayer in her life.  The women will then be led by Father Charlie in Lectio Divina  - a beautiful, ages old Catholic tradition of praying with Sacred Scripture.  This type of prayer is a life-long habit that everyone should have!

Oh, and if that's not enough...Annie has a mother/daughter craft planned.  Please contact Annie to reserve your space today!

Feel free to forward this note on to women you think might be interested.  And please pray that the women who should come feel the tug of the Holy Spirit to attend!
