Annie McHugh, St. Raphael Youth Minister, happily reports that nine young ladies joined Gratia Plena (Full of Grace) and nine young men joined Esto Vir (Be a Man). These wonderful new groups are subsets of the Youth Group for teens who have committed to prayer and study to deepen their Catholic faith.
The "Night of Grace" ceremonies were beautiful and the young ladies were so happy to receive their beautiful prayer journals with the heartfelt messages and prayers inside. After being “knighted” the young men were sure to hold every door for our ladies! The teens each spent a half hour alone with the Blessed Sacrament in the Upper Room overnight, in addition to receiving Reconciliation and attending Adoration together during the ceremonies. It truly was a grace-filled night.
Thank you to the gracious women of the parish who composed the prayer journal messages to the teens. You are wonderful spiritual mothers to our parish!
Annie will continue to meet each month with the Gratia Plena young women on the last Saturday of every month alternating between St. Raphael and St Patrick. The group will study Prayer, Sisterhood, Chastity, Grace, Humility and the dignity of women. All women of St. Raphael are invited to contact Annie or comment below to offer their support to the Gratia Plena teens.
