When our twin girls were born 7 weeks early, they were soooo small that even premie clothes were too big for them. As with all newborns, the hospital provided them with their first hats and blankets made by volunteers but in smaller sizes for the littlest of newborns. The hats were teeny-tiny and the blankets were about the size of a dinner napkin! I was so thankful for the health of our girls and for the loving care shown by the unknown volunteers.
I was so very moved recently when I saw this news story about the wonderful St. Raphael women who are a part of the knitting group Labor of Love.
This group of super speedy knitters made 330 newborn hats in two months to reach a 1,000 hat goal set by a deceased member of the group who knit 670 hats herself!
So take a look, this is what love looks like!
God bless all of you beautiful ladies - Sheila, Patt, Terry, Dianna, Dena, Esther, Sophia!
