Pope Benedict XVI has called for a Year of Faith which "summons us to an authentic and renewed conversion to the Lord, the One Savior of the world."
Part of fully and deeply converting our hearts and lives to our Lord includes having a working understanding of the teachings of the Church. The Pope especially recommends reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church to remind us of the truth and beauty of our faith.
I knew the Year of Faith was coming, but did not have a plan for how I was going to participate until I stumbled upon a website, Flocknote, that was created to use technology to support the New Evangelization. At the website, it took me just a minute to register my email address and now I receive a daily email with a small section of the Catechism each day.
I have read parts of the Catechism, but certainly not the whole thing. It seems much less formidable to read 365 small emails than to pick up the book and start at page one, plus this way I won't forget!
Won't you join me?
Signing up is very easy. Just click on this link , enter your email, and you will get a daily email with part of the Catechism. Then let your friends know and we can get some conversations going on what we have learned!
