Sister Maria de la Revelacion Castaneda has visited St. Raphael School and Religious Education students many times to share the joy of Christ.
Click here to read a summary of her beautiful talk on helping your children listen to God in prayer.
Sister Revelacion has spent the past seven years in formation with her religious order, the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara (SSVM - the same order as Father Mario Majano's sister!)
Please join us in praying for Sister as she makes her profession of perpetual vows this afternoon at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
A profession of perpetual vows is a beautiful and moving ceremony in which the religious sister dedicates her entire self to God as a living oblation to the love of God. As a sign of this total gift of self, the religious prostrates herself before the altar during a solemn Litany of the Saints.
She then stands and makes her profession of vows and receives a wedding ring which symbolizes her espousal to Jesus Christ and a crown of flowers for the crown of glory she hopes to receive in Heaven.
God Bless you, Sister Revelacion!
