Our Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, hear our prayer:

Please weave the women of St. Raphael into a beautiful tapestry of faith and friendship. Let us be woven by your Holy Spirit with our eyes and hearts set upon Christ our Savior. Help us shine with the light of Christ and draw souls to Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.

Becoming full of grace

Gratia Plena is one of the best things that has ever happened to me!

As a young Catholic woman in high school, I have had difficulty finding a group of friends who would share my desire to live as a true woman of God. Gratia Plena is a sisterhood of high school age woman who commit themselves to finding ways to live and spread God’s Word.

I am finishing my junior year of high school and I joined Gratia Plena two months ago. We had an overnight retreat which we called, “Night of Grace” to commit to the group during which we spent a whole night of prayer and sister bonding. It was a wonderful night. The best part was thirty minutes alone with the Eucharist in adoration! Our own quiet time with Jesus, cool huh?

The next morning I left with a renewed spirit.

Gratia Plena meets every last Saturday of every month. In Gratia Plena, we do a variety of activities. We have upcoming plans like doing service, dance and cooking lessons, makeovers, and sometimes just a discussion and prayer about a particular Church teaching. The St. Raphael’s and St. Patrick’s Gratia Plena sisterhood guarantees a fun way to become a lady full of grace, and fulfill God’s plan for us as Catholic Women.

Our sisterhood is lead by the amazing Annie McHugh, Ana Maria Alvarado, and other young adult women. Gratia Plena is the perfect experience for young Catholic women because it really helps them to grow in their faith and model their lives after the Blessed Mother.

Gratia Plena has done so much for me and has helped me grow in my faith. I have never been so happy waking up 8:00 am on a Saturday morning to go to Mass then spend time with my sisters. I would encourage any other young Catholic women like me to consider joining Gratia Plena or starting one at your church.

God has a beautiful plan for all of us!

“Let us run to her, and, as her little children, cast ourselves into her arms with a perfect confidence.”
