Behold the redemption of mankind—
Jesus, the way through that we may be reconciled.
That bleeds for man and his every misdeed.
The Sacred Feet bathed in tears of regret,
Sinners saved by faith, He pays the debt.
Jesus, sweet sacrifice to satisfy God’s wrath,
Bears the weight of the wayward and fallen path.
Trembling, I embrace His Feet nailed to a tree,
That walked the Way of the Cross, for you and for me.
And compassionate Christ for wanderings into worldliness,
Further from God through iniquity and brokenness.
For steps into temptation through the wilderness and desert,
Stumbling and falling like sheep without a shepherd.
At His mercy, I, a sinner, confess and repent,
Returning to the foot of the cross in love and lament.
Saved— by Jesus who is with us even when we stray,
Along our journey and never abandons to show us the way.
Redeeming wrongs and rebellion by His Blood at Calvary,
And Passion defeats death and ransoms immorality.
The Good Shepherd gently leads us to still waters and green pastures,
Provides comfort and protection from fear of disaster.
Gracious God who came to serve and show us how to walk,
Calling each by name, He is the door that we may be one flock.
Such love! I run to Jesus with all my being,
Amazed He fulfills everything I have been seeking.
I plead for His guidance along the narrow track,
For obedience, strength, and grace to not look back.
Jesus, a forerunner to whatever I am going through,
An anchor for my soul that proclaims with hope “I trust in You”.
Like the prodigal, I surrender worn and unworthy,
Rejoicing at His wounded Feet to be found by Mercy.
