Our Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, hear our prayer:

Please weave the women of St. Raphael into a beautiful tapestry of faith and friendship. Let us be woven by your Holy Spirit with our eyes and hearts set upon Christ our Savior. Help us shine with the light of Christ and draw souls to Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.

You are the light of the world

A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father.   Matthew 5:14-16

Catholic women of all ages and backgrounds are cordially invited to attend “Catholic Women as Disciples in the Public Square: A Day of Reflection and Action” at St. Raphael Catholic Church beginning with Mass at 9am celebrated by Fr. Dan Leary.

This event is sponsored by Catholic Women United in Faith, Hope, and, Charity, a recently formed organization for Catholic women within the Archdiocese of Washington. The day will feature dynamic speakers and workshops with the goal of empowering and motivating Catholic women to effectively communicate on issues that impact their faith.

In addition to this mini-retreat, there are many resources available to Catholic women (and men!) who want to understand Catholic social teaching and feel confident expressing their faith in the public square:
