We are so blessed to have two wonderful Adult Faith Formation programs coming to our parish from our wonderful new Adult Faith director, Suzanne Nelson.
Both programs are studies of Sacred Scripture guaranteed to enrich your understanding of God's Word and its meaning for your life!
Many of us are making New Year's resolutions. One of these programs might be just what your heart has been looking for.
If you are free on Wednesday mornings...
Father Charlie will be offering a Scripture study called Lectio Divina: The Mass in Scripture. The study uses a book by the same title which you should purchase on your own to bring to the class. Time spent in this study will not only help you understand Sacred Scripture but will help you LOVE the Mass! You will learn about how the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is prefigured in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament.
The class will meet from 9:45-10:45am for six Wednesdays starting January 18th. There is no fee for the class and you do not need to register in advance. If you like, you can provide your name to Suzanne who will make sure there is enough space for all who are interested.
If you are free on Wednesday evenings...
Suzanne and Mary Beaudoin, our Religious Education Director, are offering the course, Introduction to Sacred Scripture. In this course, you will be amazed and inspired to learn about the key parts of salvation history and the many ways Jesus and our Blessed Mother Mary are prefigured in the Old Testament.
Suzanne and Mary are very knowledgeable, excellent instructors but also good friends! Their warm and gentle presence and their love of our Catholic faith will make this course memorable.
The course will meet from 7-9pm for six Wednesday evenings starting February 1st. Advanced registration is required and there is a small fee. You can register for the class using this form.
What if I'm not free on Wednesday?
Not free on Wednesdays? No problem, we have options and ideas for you! Watch for more information in future posts...
